Here are some ideas for using these resources in your church:
Schedule a Presentation from ORM Program Director We would be happy to present a slideshow and information about our summer camp programs to your congregation. Call us at 1-800-NIC-CAMP or email Craig Watters at craig@niccamp.org to schedule a presentation at your church. |
Have Past Campers Make a Presentation We can provide your congregation with slideshows, DVD's, brochures, and other information about our programs. If you would like past campers within your church to present their experiences, we can help you accomplish this. |
Preach From a Camp Type Setting Wear camp clothes to worship or preach outdoors. Decorate the church with a fake campfire and outdoor recreation supplies. Then have church members share their camp experiences and memories. |
Request a DVD from ORM We have DVD's available for your use. If you would like one, give us a call or e-mail and we'll send you one absolutely free of charge. |
Plan a Camp Activity During Worship There are plenty of camp activities that can be used for Bible studies. You can call us for activities you can do with your group or request us to come and lead some activities with your youth group. |
Place Camp Posters and Flyers in Your Church Our 2011 brochure comes with a poster you can hang in your church. If you would like more posters, brochures, or flyers, contact us. |
Create a Camp Scrapbook Keep an ongoing record of your church's campers' pictures and experiences and put it somewhere everyone can see. |
Have a Counselor Sign-Up Day Talk about the great experience of being a part of camp and put a sign-up sheet in your bulletin and return these names to the camping office. |
